Looked an older Yamaha twin last night. Cylinders fairly upright, between cylinders in front 391cm(3), VIN (?) on neck and motor 14V-001976. Wheels and tires in very good shape, pipes in great shape, kind of a boat tail like some XS650's I've seen, missing air boxes. Black (stock), metal black front fender, Yamaha in chrome on tank.

What you have is an XS400, 1977 or '78. The engine is fairly robust but has a history of failed charging system. There are lots of cheap used parts for these bikes.
