| Who has the best local motorcycle club going in the country today, and why is one better than another clubs, and where is it. Who runs it and for how long. What do they do at the meeting. How often do they have rides. |

OK, I don't know if we have the "best local club", but we have a good one. We're a group of about 65 members of Western Pa. motorcycle enthusiasts. The group was started about 4 years ago and has continued to grow into the club we have today. We have our own Web page and forum. Planned rides are posted on the web site and impromptu rides are posted on the forum. The decision was made early on,not to have dues or any other costs involved in membership. Meetings are voluntary and are usually scheduled for winter months mostly so we can get together to plan upcoming events and bs. There are very few obligations on the individual members, except that you must enjoy having a good time.
On any given weekend there will be at least 2 rides. Sometimes an overnight ride will be planned as well as a local rides for those that don't have time for the overnighters. Every Wednesday evening, we have our ICR (ice cream ride) with anywhere from 3 to 20 bikes. Also when the weather permits, we do an EMR ( early morning ride). We meet at 7:00 for coffee and ride until early afternoon, then back home in time for family obligations.
Membership is open to anyone with a motorcycle license,or their spouses. We have members from early twenties to late sixties and any type of bike is welcome.
We recently decided on a club logo and we are planning to "adopt a highway" as a club project.
Like I said, it might not be the best, but it's a good one, check it out here

Hells Angels! I bet they do a lot of riding! Free beer, and if you show up on anything Japanese, you'd probably also get a free ass kicking! LOL |

............Paul | Have you found one night of the week a better night than another night to meet, so as to have more people show up or meet for a ride etc. |

I'm no sure why, but Wednesday has worked best for evening rides. Our meetings are usually held on winter Saturday afternoons, so as not to interfere with football. Early morning rides are usually on Saturday. Not sure why, it just seems to work

............Paul | Thanks a lot, I can't understand why anyone would ever want to watch foot ball when they can talk motorcycles instead. |
