hello!
I recently picked up a new bike, that was sold to me by the original owner. He used to live in Japan, and bought, what I think, is a CM250 C. its a 1983 model, but it has no model designation on it, that I've been able to find.
Internet searches have shown me that it appears to be that CM250. But mine is still different. it has mag wheels instead of spokes, hydraulic front disc instead of a front drum brake. An engine guard in front of the engine.
Any help in making a positive ID would be great, as well as where to get info like a correct owners manual. Were these options for that model bike, or were they specific to the JDM version?
surely it has a frame number somewhere usual place is steering neck, the engine guard is a add-on may not even be honda so it's no help also the motor # prefix should help with model id

Sitting on the bike, on the right side of the head tube there is a frame number, MC07 1001764. On the left side of the frame, towards the front of the gas tank there is a small tag, in Kanji, but also has the letters MC07 on it (barely visible in the photo). Thats it. The left cover, the air cleaner cover, looks like it might have a decal on it or painted over a decal...

It definitely looks exactly like that LA 250. The small photo of the LA 250 has a silver stripe on the battery cover, which i don't have.
It would appear on my air cleaner cover, that a similar stripe was either painted over, or taken off, as the paint is mismatched, in that same shape.
So where do i get info and such for it? or a manual. my local dealer of course, knows nothing, though they did agree the engine is very similar to a CM 250, or early Rebel (CMX250).

Good suggestion. I think I've been to that site before. It appears to have only American, or North American models listed. Nothing about the Japan Market bikes.

its the japanese equivelant of our 250 customs, same era
except they like to fancy their market bikes up a bit, like the cbx wheels on that bike. fancier seat, a few bits and pieces that look better than the NA garbage we were sold _________________ www.cb750c.com
