| Yep, I am right in the middle of you guys just off I-94. If this gets big enough we could organize a ride and get together. This forum is taking off great. Nice to have you guys. Problem is which bike do I ride. Oh, that's a good problem to have! I will be going to the Vermontville Syrup festival as I do every year. It is a hick town west of Charlotte that has a bike ride in April. More details coming. |

Capitol idea! So many curvy, low traffic, senic roads to ride. Michigan Ave, M-50, Irish Hills area, M-106 From Jackson to Stockbridge, Waterloo road from Chelsea to Munith(200 deg corner and more) We will ride. We're to close not to. I love to take the vintage bikes to dealerships and watch them empty the service dept to come out and look. I'm chomping at the bit. Those left coast guys are making me jealous. _________________ 79 CBX

| Did you see fasterspider's video of him riding on some twisties a couple of days ago in Cali??? Jealous is right! I am going thru withdrawals right now. I need to ride two wheels. Sounds like you know some good places I don't know. Not alot of curvy roads around here. I heard or saw that Chelsea might be good. I could meet you some day half way and we could go. Cool. |

Nice list of bikes you have there. Looks like you have some dirtbike experience. Just got into those only recently, so may need some assitance down the road. I have mainly Honda and Kawaski 70's and 80's. My dirt bikes are a 1968 DT1 and just a couple days ago I went really off center and got my first German bike. A 1972 Maico 501. Now all I got to do his get the wheaties to kick the damn thing without breacking a leg haha
At anyrate thanks for joining the fray! Will be fun!
Regards

A Maico 501! Wow, I ran one of those in a couple of races in the mid-70's. Story was all the Maico 450 factory riders were scared of that thing. Nice bike!! _________________ 81 CB900c |

Das ist sehr gut!!! BTW..are you married? Have Children? Have Life Insurance? At least you didn't buy an early-mid '70s TM400 'zuki, also known as the DW 400 as in Death Wish 400
Yeah, I been around dirt bikes for a few yrs/decades.......
This is my first race bike:
The year, 1966. Bike: 1966 Honda S-90, slightly modified! But that's what most amatuer racers did back in the '60s, took street bikes, quasi-dual sports (street bikes with high pipes and trials/knobbies) and stripped them down to one degree or another and headed of to the scrambles track. You're DT Yammi was quite popular for off road racing conversions.
BTW, vintage experts out there...can anyoen id the car in the background??? hehehe |

haha Good point! Perhaps a "death wish" but this one is virtually a garantee! Also know as the "Black Molly"
Lets see I can't see the headlight so makes it a little difficult on the car. I'm going with a dodge dart or perhaps a mid-60's ford gallaxy........ _________________ Several 1973 Z1's, 1981 CBX, 1986 Suzuki W.Wolf RG500, 1993 Ducati 888SPO, 1996 Suzuki RGV250SP Lucky Strike |

Well as one of my favorite authors once said " Only through Perseverance can mediocrity achieve an inglorious success."
