Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since it went down. With the DNS changed, I can't tell if the account suspended sign is still up.... A word from somebody about what happened would be warranted... Is Tim among the living? Confused

Hey if you guys can give me a preferred site description with a few keywords that are search engine friendly Ill link over both here and at CBX World.

By search engine friendly I mean try and stuff the title and description with a couple of key words that people might use in a Google search. Links are nice but the real reason all the vintage bike sites swap links is to try and boost each other up in the search engines.

People can’t join you if they can’t find you. Wink

Cheers,

Dave

This sucks, but maybe they'll get it ironed out soon. It was slower than the piles and getting slower here on my relatively quick cable hookup. Hopefully it will come back with some speed to it.

90% chance it's completely gone. The server backup was corrupted. No way I'm going to spend much or any time if we can't do the backups ourselves (read: me)

Still waiting for one more chance at a restore of the data. Maybe but I doubt it.

Many thanks to the this site for letting us discuss our problems over there.

Oh yeah......

I'm just now looking over the support forum but it still looks like Monday at the earliest to make a basic forum so we can more easily discuss.

I've been away and just tried to check-in at 900c.net.

Did we lose it again? Shocked

Yes, it's gone. They did a major server harware upgrade including hard drives without checking the veracity of their backup beforehand (I assume) and it was corrupted. They had to restore with a version that was older than our site... again I assume. Sounds similar to a problem I had with a backup in the past... spent a whole bunch of money on a fancy tape backup system that failed when I needed it because I was in too big of a hurry to verify it and make a duplicate backup before a total hardware upgrade.
