is there anything I can soak old calipers in to loosen them up. seems it would be handy for future projects to soak them to help with releasing piston for R/B. thanks jeep.

I've never had to do it yet (knock on tubular metal) but I hear one of the ways to try and extricate a stuck piston is to fit a grease fitting on the caliper and pump it full of grease since the pressure from the grease gun is much higher than the master cylinder and also the grease will go a long way toward lubing up the caliper and helping to break the piston loose. Good luck.

yup done that, I just thought an old bucket and some UM something might just allow a little air to pop them out & clean.

Use an air compressor. Be aware that the piston can fly.
