Ray and Bill. What is the fire situation in or around Granada Hills and Vacaville? That is, have you guys been affected by any of them?

Hi Dor,

Thanks for asking. As I'm sure you've seen on the news the fires around Napa Valley and Sonoma area are absolutely devastating. Many of those scenic areas I've shown in photos are now toast and will never be the same for decades. But the closest fire to me is at least 10 miles away, and my wife and I keep our place scalped clean and trees limbed up away from buildings, and have fire hoses all around our rural property. But we are surrounded by clueless people who leave tall weeds and dead brush on neighboring parcels. I can't imagine how they sleep at night.

We here in the SFV are not on fire, the nearest blaze is 50-60 miles south south east of us over there in Orange County where the wind event that caused the fire got it's name, Santa Ana and surrounding areas.
The people up north have it the worst, still 200 people missing and a shitload confirmed dead.
That drought we came out of last winter left a lot of fuel for the fast moving, wind driven flames.
I've never seen anything like this in my 24 years of living in So Cal and wildfires are a regular occurrence here.

Oh man, I'd would need a larger buffer zone or I would be as nervous as a puppy......but a little wine might help. Hmm

Me thinks you are being kind in only describing them as clueless. Wink No need to tell you to stay vigilant.......sounds like you are on top of things. Thumbsup

It's 81F. Not that hot in Vegas standards. I wish it were cooler though.
