Howdy folks, this morning VJMOG was offline for a few hours. That was an error on my part and not something wrong with the site. The domain names vjmog.com .net and .org were up for automatic renewal but my credit card info on file with the name registration service was out of date so vjmog.com was automatically "parked" when the renewal could not be processed.
I renewed all the domain names this morning for 2 years so we are good to go for a while.
In other site related news. I also received a notice from the datacenter that houses the server that they are raising rates to cover the rising costs of electricity. Normally that wouldn’t be good news but what they are doing to add value for existing customers is upgrading their network port speed from 10Mb to 100Mb which used to cost extra anyway so its sort of a wash.
I had them do the upgrade this morning and then rebooted the server so it would "hook up" at the new port speed. Those of you with fast broadband connections should see a noticeable improvement in speed.

I've known several folks who had their personal internet access terminated in the same way. Nice how these companies care enough to contact you before just parking your domain.....
Thanks for everything Dave! _________________ 81 CB900c

Nah that was my bad. They sent plenty of notices that the domain names were coming due, I just more or less ignored them since things were set up to auto renew. Works great as long as you remember to keep your card info current. Doh!
That's one hell of a first year anniversary celebration for the site eh? At 12:00 Midnight the lights go off. Too funny! _________________
