Hello all, I just bought a well preserved 79 DT175. The previous owner saw fit to remove all of the turn signals, mirrors etc. I have re-installed the turn signals, and other stuff because I want to ride on the road. I bought a new battery, went to install it and found that the negative battery cable was cut and hanging from the battery terminal. I can't find where it was originally attached to the bike. Does anyone know where it hooks up? I don't want to ground it to the frame and then find out that it went into a harness or something. This is the last thing preventing me from being road ready. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also, I am putting DOT approved tires on it to replace the dirt tires that it has now. I would like to sell these tires cheap since I will have no use for them. They are Maxxis brand, and are like new. The previous owner said that there are fewer than 100 miles on them. The back tire looks as though someone did numerous left hand doughnuts with the bike and chewed up the knobbies on the left side edge of the rear tire only. I don't see how this affects the usability of the tire at all though. The sizes are: 100/80-21 (front) and 100/100-18 (rear). (989) 339-4958.
