Hello, I've tried to figure this out on/off for some time now with no luck! I have a 1981 Yamaha Trimoto YT 125 that leaks fuel out the overflow AFTER I shut it off. I have adjusted the floats with no luck. I have an extra carb. so I even swapped bowls thinking maybe the copper tube had a hole in it somewhere. I checked the float valve and even swapped them with no luck. Floats look good to me, so I'm baffled. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated as usual! Thanks, Jack

I hear ya.
I've done everything possible with my carb but it still leaks a little out of the overflow tubes. I've given up and have learned to live with it until I can afford a carb rebuild kit.
My guess is that a new needle and needle valve is needed. Even if they look okay, it could have minute scratches, allowing gas through.
Also, check your overflow tubes for hairline cracks. A good test is taking the bowl off and filling it with gas and seeing if it leaks.
