Spurlock,I appreciated the Youtube clip by the thoughtful Italian motorcycle fan. If offering an opinion I too would incline towards the concept of smaller bikes,both in engine size and weight. The only area where I would disagree is that to suggest any regulating of the freedom motorcyclists have to kill themselves on roads that have none of the safety provisions of a purpose designed circuit would be akin to governments conspiring to ban the joy of motorcycling for all is a bit of an exaggeration. Yes there are many road race circuits that use public roads. We have one annually just over an hour from where I live. The Boxing Day Races at Wanganui, New Zealand. The Isle Of Man circuit is not a typical road circuit. It is the extreme of such circuits. Of course I'm well aware that adds to the challenge for the adherents.

I am enjoying the sharing of views in this thread. I remain conflicted about the whole deal.
